ive seen this on a civic before.. make an aluminum sheet that covers the air gap between the bumper and radiator support. then u can roll your hood. or leave it alone.
you could also get a bigger fan flexalite

so yesterday we discovered that tryin to vent the hood might prove to be bad unless i had the exhaust extended.. we kinda popped the hood but left it secured to the latch and drove up 151 just to get more airflow.. and immediately we could smell exhaust so i guessuntill i can extend my exhaust the engine will stay warm

i cant stress heat wrapping the turbo manifold and the exhaust side of the turbo enough also check out the close up pic of my front bumper did you cut the plastic out of the front bumper and put mesh in it when you installed the intercooler last resort vented cf hood or an acetalene torch and some fiberglass will do the trick if nessecary lol

id rather go with the acetalene torch that a tilt hood cuz of how much lift it creates on the hood at high speeds plz if you do that get hood pins cuz just to state the obvious if your hood latch breaks loose your screwed and cannot see lol

i think you missunderstood josie about the hood tilt. shes talking about putting washers under the hinges at the back of the hood. which would cause the back to stick up alittle, almost like a cowl hood but less obvious.

oh ok got it i was thinking she meant like a tilt to one side not at the back that should be fine might be a body line eyesore though lol i couldnt do that cuz i would see that gap all the time when i was driving

lol yeah thats one of the problems with doing it like that, and i also believe when the cars up to speed, theres high pressure built up right at the bottom of the window so it makes it a little harder for the air in the engine bay to escape. but its pretty cheap to do, and gets some of the heat out of the engine bay. on integras like josies the front crossmember takes up alot of room underneath the car, and it only looks like maybe 1 square foot of open space between the crossmember and the engine that the air can escape out of.

sweet i like the hatch in that pic integra must be way different than the civic i can see the ground easy from every angle when i look under my hood not much blocking it. looks better than i thought it would with the raised hood

i might do this to my car wont be hard i want to do it mainly cuz i wont have to run the defrost when im driving anymore engine heat will do it for me lol i just worry a little cuz my windshield has a crack and the heat might make it worse but the ghetto defrost is a definite plus lololol
